We are proud to share that our partne the University of Cantabria (UNICAN, Spain) played an active role in the CHISA 2024 conference in Prague, contributing to the ongoing discussions on sustainability and valorisation of carbon emissions as part of the EU funded CAPTUS project. The UNICAN team presented very promising and interesting results of the project.

🎤 Key contributions included:
– Keynote Lecture: Decarbonization, Circular Economy, and Hydrogen by Prof. Angel Irabien.

– Oral Communication: The Transition to a Defossilized E-fuel Production: A Dynamic-LCA of Electrochemical CO2 Conversion Strategies by Dr. Marta Rumayor.

– Oral Communication: Production of Formic Acid in the Cement Industry via CO2 Electrochemical Reduction by Guillermo Diaz Sainz, developed in collaboration with all partners from CAPTUS WP5.

– Poster Communication: Analysis of the Influence of Operating Variables in a Three-Compartment Electrochemical Reactor for the Electroreduction of CO2 to Formic Acid, co-authored by Prof. Angel Irabien and Guillermo Diaz Sainz.

The discussions at CHISA 2024 highlight the importance of collaborative research in driving the transition towards a more sustainable and decarbonized future.
