A major milestone for CAPTUS has just been achieved at HyChem. Last week, the Pilot Carbon Capture Unit from partner NOVIS in Germany was successfully commissioned at the CAPTUS demonstration site 2 in Portugal, capturing CO₂ directly from HyChem’s boiler flue gas for the first time.
This achievement reflects the strong collaboration between A4F (Algae for Future), HyChem and NOVIS, whose joint efforts made this important step possible. It also marks significant progress towards the completion of the full installation and the advancement of carbon capture technologies in industrial environments.
